Zack Towers to Attend Star City High School Football Game Tonight

Player who suffered a head injury last season continues his recovery.
STAR CITY, AR - A local teen hurt while playing high school football last year will be in the stands at tonight's game.

Zack Towers, 19, suffered a head injury last November that put him in a coma. He did not regain consciousness for several months.

According to Twitter, Zack will be at the Star City football game tonight and everyone is invited to swing by to say hello.

The latest on Zack's recovery was shared on Facebook September 5:
Zack has been having some difficult nights as of late. Tonight he is having so much congestion that he cannot rest for any given period of time. Although he still seems to be progressing slowly mentally, he is struggling some physically. The beginning of football season has been bittersweet for me. Every time I go to Bulldog Stadium I find myself staring at the far hash mark 30 yard line of the north end of the field. That is where Zack fell. So much comes back to me. But Praise the God above that
football season is starting and Zack is still alive & fulfilling his mission. If someone could have told us the morning after his injury last year that he would be alive at the beginning of season next year and he would have progressed the way he did, we all would have rested easier then. God is great at all times and He loves us all. God never overlooks any of us. Plz continue to remember Zack. God's got this. #GGT #ZT16 #PrayForZack
