Woman Arrested Last Month in Conway Indicted in 2000 Memphis Murder Case

Jacqueline Parson-McFarlin, 43, was arrested on Nov. 22.
MEMPHIS, TN (News release) - A Memphis woman has been indicted on second-degree murder charges stemming from the shooting death of her boyfriend 13 years ago, Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich said Tuesday.

Jacqueline Parson-McFarlin, 43, is charged with killing Harvey Glenn on Nov. 24, 2000, during an argument at the home they shared at 1881 Nantucket in southwest Memphis.

Glenn died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators said Parson-McFarlin flew to New York the day before Glenn's body was found and told relatives there that she had shot him.

Those relatives called her brother in Memphis who went to the Nantucket address where he found Glenn's body in the den.

Parson-McFarlin apparently never returned to Memphis. She was arrested on a murder warrant on Nov. 22 at her home in Conway, Ark.

She waived extradition and is being held in the Shelby County Jail East on $200,000 bond.

Parson-McFarlin is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning in Criminal Court.
