WICKED on Stage in Little Rock Through Sunday

Two cast members give us an inside look at the show.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - WICKED is the untold story of the witches of Oz. It's an incredible show you can see in Little Rock through this weekend.

Mallory Brooks had the chance to sit down with some of the cast members for an inside look at the show.

"This is a big story. It's a big sweeping musical with beautiful lavish cosutmes and scenery pieces," says Alex Wyse, who plays the character Boq.

Emily Behny plays Nessarose. They're two members of a very talented team bringing quite a big production to the Robinson Center.

"We have 35 cast members give or take that travel with us, and we also have five musicians that travel with us. Then the show itself..the set pieces, costumes fit in 13 trucks. It takes them five hours to load in a show," says Emily.

And the Broadway production is made even better, with the help of Arkansans.

"What's cool too is that we have local musicians and we have local stage hands. This is a Little Rock family that's part of our family now and that's very special because it's like we're teaming up with the city to make the show happen," Alex says.

So, what does it take to get ready for such a big show?

"I do a vocal warmup and a physical warmup. I kind of go through my notes," Emily explains.

"I look in the mirror and I say showtime and I walk on stage. That's all I need," says Alex.

You can see Alex and Emily in WICKED now through Sunday.

The show is offering $25 tickets in a lottery that takes place right before each performance.
