Visitation Tonight, Funeral Tomorrow For 107-Year-Old Man Killed in SWAT Shootout

Visitation took place tonight for Monroe Isadore, the 107-year-old man shot and killed by Pine Bluff police.
PINE BLUFF, AR -- Visitation took place tonight for Monroe Isadore, the 107-year-old man shot and killed by Pine Bluff police.

Detectives say Isadore fired three shots at them before they returned gunfire, which eventually killed him.

A special prosecutor was assigned to the case after Jefferson County prosecutor Kyle Hunter recused himself due to conflict of interest. Jason Barrett, deputy prosecuting attorney for the Prosecution Coordination Commission, agreed to serve in that capacity.

State police also said they will not investigate because Pine Bluff police did not submit the case in a timely manner.

Family and friends, though, will remember Isadore at his funeral services on Saturday at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Pine Bluff.
