Update: Woman Charged in Cabot Shooting

The June incident at an apartment building on West Myrtle Street left a man critically injured.
Update (September 12):
CABOT, AR - An arrest has been made in a shooting at a local apartment complex back in June.

The Cabot Police Department says Halelle Hooten, 32, is charged with domestic battery in the incident.

The shooting happened at 898 West Myrtle, Apt. D-1.

Hooten is being held on a no bond hold until her first appearance in Lonoke County Circuit Court on Friday.

CABOT, AR - A shooting in Cabot has left a man in critical condition.

It happened shortly before 11:00 Sunday night at an apartment complex at 898 West Myrtle Street.

Cabot Police say when officers arrived on the scene they found the victim lying on the floor.

The man had reportedly suffered several gunshot wounds, but was alert and talking to officers, according to police.

He was taken to the hospital by helicopter.

The investigation continues to determine the reason for the shooting and to identify a suspect.
