Update: Wife of Chief Ranger Arrested for Murder

Deputies located Jerry Digman's body around 11:30 Sunday morning at 23900 block along Highway 300.
PULASKI COUNTY, AR -- Sunday evening, the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office announced it arrested the wife of a state official found shot to death in his home Sunday.

Deputies said they found Jerry Digman before noon after a call about a shooting.  They later confronted his wife who allegedly confessed to shooting him multiple times following an altercation.

Late Sunday evening, Pamela Digman was in the Pulaski County Jail.

Digman had a lengthy career in law enforcement, having worked for Arkansas State Police for decades.  He'd recently been appointed as chief ranger for Arkansas State Parks and Tourism.

"When you're a prominent figure in the state, obviously there's going to be a little more attention into that so we'll try to figure it out and do it with due diligence," said Lt. Chris Ameling, spokesman for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies could not say if they'd been to the home in the past.  If they had, they said it would be a part of their investigation.
