LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Police have released the identity of the woman killed on Tuesday.

According to reports, 48-year-old Jan Lowe's body was discovered after a fire was put out at South Oaks apartments in Little Rock.

The Medical Examiner made the decision to investigate the case as a homicide after reviewing her injuries.

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The Little Rock Police confirms it is investigating a suspicious fire death as a homicide.

According to the Medical Examiner, the decision was made based on the injuries to the unidentified victim.

Law enforcement is now requesting help from the public for any information they may have in relation to this incident.

"Any information, regardless of how insignificant it may seem would be helpful," LR Police said in a release.

Citizens are asked to call 371-4660 to report tips.

Crews responded to a fire at the South Oaks apartment complex and found a dead body on the first floor on Tuesday.

Fire crews found the fire started in the same apartment where they found the body before traveling up to the third floor.
