Police say the victim is 26 years old, and they have not caught a suspect.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The Little Rock Police Department has confirmed a man is dead after being shot in the head.

Officials responded to the 1500 block of Adams Street around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon and found 23-year-old Austin Burks on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.

Burks was transported to UAMS where he was pronounced dead at 3:58 p.m.

According to reports, Burks' girlfriend had just dropped him off then witnessed a man in a burgundy Nissan Maxima pull up and open fire. She was unable to give a suspect description as he was wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled over their head.

His girlfriend said the suspect then fled South on Adams Street. She also told police that the car had a broken windshield on the driver's side.

Police are continuing their investigation and interviewing witnesses.
