Update: 2 Face Felony Charges for Benton Sports Complex Vandalism

Both suspects have been charged with one count of felony criminal mischief, two counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief and one count of breaking or entering.
BENTON, AR -- A pair of suspected vandals are facing felony charges after police say they vandalized the Benton Sports Complex overnight.

According to the Benton Police Department (BPD), investigation led detectives to 20-year-old Nicholas McCutcheon, of Benton, who was then found and interviewed about the incident. BPD says detectives developed evidence linking McCutcheon to the crime, and subsequently arrested him.

Further investigation revealed that 20-year-old Rickey McConnell, of Benton, was also involved in the crime. He was taken into custody early Monday evening.

Both suspects have been charged with one count of felony criminal mischief, two counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief and one count of breaking or entering.

McCutcheon was also charged with possession of an instrument of crime.

The pair were taken to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing without incident.

BPD says the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges could be possible.
