Trial Pushed Back for Former UCA Chief of Staff

Jack Gillean faces charges of insurance fraud and commercial burglary.
CONWAY, AR -- A former chief of staff at the University of Central Arkansas will wait another six months before going to trial on a string of charges.

Jack Gillean's trial was scheduled for Oct. 28, but has been pushed back to April 2014 so subpoenaed phone records can be made available.

The former chief of staff is facing charges that include commercial burglary and insurance fraud after being accused of giving a former UCA student keys to the university in order to steal exams, as well as using funds inappropriately to purchase a car for the student.

Gillean pleaded not guilty to the charges in November.
