Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest on Drugs, Firearms Charges for Cabot Man

The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office says Christopher Carson, 32, had an estimated 10 grams of meth and a revolver loaded with 410 rounds.

LONOKE COUNTY, AR - A Cabot man is jailed on drugs and firearms charges after a traffic stop led to his arrest.

It happened early this morning around 3:40 in the parking lot of a service station on Highway 5.

The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) says the traffic stop was initiated due to suspicious actions on the part of the driver.  

A check of the driver, Christopher Carson, 32, revealed an active arrest warrant from the Cabot Police Department.  

The LCSO says further investigation led to the discovery and seizure of an estimated 10 grams of methamphetamine, drug related paraphernalia and a Taurus “Judge” revolver loaded with 410 rounds.  

Carson was arrested for the offenses of; Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, Possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
