Three Dog Night Coming to Oaklawn

Three Dog Night will close out Oaklawn’s 2013 Finish Line Theater Series with a concert beginning at 7 p.m. Oct. 3.
HOT SPRINGS, AR (News Release) -- October promises to be a Spooktacular month starting with a Three Dog Night Concert Thursday, Oct. 3 and ending with Halloween, Oct. 31 featuring a special happy hour and costume contest. There will also be an Oktoberfest celebration Sunday, Oct. 6, new Reel Tournaments and plenty of football action all month long.
 
Three Dog Night will close out Oaklawn’s 2013 Finish Line Theater Series with a concert beginning at 7 p.m. Oct. 3. From 1969-1974, nobody had more Top 10 hits, moved more records, or sold more concert tickets than Three Dog Night. The legendary band continues to be among the most popular acts on tour with such fan favorites as “Joy to the World,” “Mama Told Me Not to Come,” “Black and White,” “Shambala” and “Easy to Be Hard.” Tickets for their show go on sale Monday, Sept. 23 and will be $20 and $30.
 
Oktoberfest promises to be a zany good time Oct. 6 from 5 - 10 p.m. Guests can come enjoy a $4.99 German buffet in Lagniappe, $1 Sam Adams Oktoberfest drafts and live entertainment by the Itinerant Locals. There will also be a $5,000 cash drawing throughout the night.
 
Guests are invited to channel their inner child and come dressed in costume for Halloween. There will be $1,000 up for grabs for the best costumes and from 5 to 7 p.m. everyone can enjoy the “Frank ‘n Stein” happy hour with free hot dogs and $1 drafts.
 
Oaklawn’s Reel Tournaments get even better in October. There will be the Kick Off The Week Tournament on Sundays starting at 2 p.m. and the Triple Thrill Tournament on Tuesdays, which offers three ways to win. Participants can win a session, win the final or win a drawing. Players just need to have earned the qualifying points to participate.
 
Oaklawn will continue to be “the place” for everything football in October. Guests won’t have to worry about missing a second of the big games with ESPN Game Plan on Saturdays, NFL Sunday Ticket and Monday Night Football. In addition, there will be food and drink specials in Pop’s Lounge on football days and the popular Gridiron Challenge returns every Monday.
 
Every Thursday in during the month, Oaklawn presents the $20,000 Zombie Zamboree from 6-10 p.m. Winners will be called every 15 minutes and two lucky people will win $400 at 10 p.m.
 
Lagniappe Restaurant offers a Barbeque special where guests can choose ribs or chicken every Wednesday from 5 - 10 p.m. Every Friday from 5 - 10 p.m. it’s Steak Night where guests can enjoy the best steak in Hot Springs or if they prefer, the catch of the day.
