Teacher at Osceola High School Accused of Sexual Contact with Student

Nichole J. Winberry, 28, of Paragould faces four counts of first-degree sexual assault.
OSCEOLA, AR (News release) - Scott Ellington, Prosecuting Attorney for the Second Judicial District of Arkansas, announces the arrest of an Osceola High School teacher accused of inappropriate sexual contact with at least one male high school student.

Special Agent Allen Earnhart of the Arkansas State Police arrested Nichole J. Winberry, 28, of Paragould Thursday on four counts of first-degree sexual assault. Warrants were issued following an investigation by the Osceola Police Department and the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division.

Ellington said Winberry will appear before Circuit Judge Ralph Wilson Jr. for a probable cause hearing Friday at 9 a.m. in the District Courtroom located inside the Osceola Justice Building.

The investigation began when the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline received a report that Winberry had engaged in sexual contact with at least one Osceola high school student. Winberry surrendered to state police investigators Thursday in Paragould. She will be held in the Osceola City Jail tonight pending the probable cause hearing.
