State Employee Furloughs Estimated to Approach 1,200 on Monday

According to the Arkansas Department of Finance (DFA), 1,197 workers from 16 different state agencies are estimated to be furloughed starting Monday.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The number of furloughed state employees in Arkansas is expected to reach almost 1,200 by Monday.

According to the Arkansas Department of Finance (DFA), 1,197 workers from 16 different state agencies are estimated to be furloughed starting Monday.

The agency that looks to be hit the hardest is the Disability Determination for Social Security Administration (DDSSA), who are estimated to see 503 employees furloughed Monday, accounting for the first furloughs from the agency since the government shutdown Oct. 1.

Here are the numbers of furloughs by agency as estimated by DFA:
