Searcy Police: $200 Worth of "Ice" Found Inside Home, Man Arrested

Officers say drug paraphernalia and a shotgun also found during search.
SEARCY, AR - A local man has been arrested after police say drugs were found in his home.

On Tuesday, the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force (CADTF) and Searcy Police Department (SPD) executed a search warrant on West Academy Ave. and took Daniel Contreras, 48, into custody.  

Police say officers seized about 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine in the form of Ice with a street value of $200, items of drug paraphernalia, and a shotgun.  

Contreras is charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, namely methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, and Maintaining a Drug Premises.  

He is being held at the White County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
