Local Mother Shocked by Rape Allegations Against 34-Year-Old Woman

Andrea Clevenger is also accused of engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in a visual or print medium.
SHERWOOD, AR -- A local woman is out on bond after surrendering to police on a sexual assault charge involving a 13-year-old boy.

A warrant was issued on Monday for the arrest of Andrea Clevenger, 33. Police say she turned herself in this morning and was released with a GPS-enabled ankle bracelet.

The Sherwood Police Department says it was notified of the allegations against Clevenger on Nov. 27 from the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline.

Clevenger is charged with one count of rape and one count of engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in a visual or print medium.

According to the arrest affidavit, the boy told police the sexual assaults happened at least three times, once on the sofa inside Clevenger's home and twice inside her vehicle. WARNING, EXPLICIT CONTENT: See the attached arrest affidavit for more information.

"It's sickening, just absolutely disgusting and especially that age," said a local mother whose daughter has similar friends with Clevenger's daughter said. "Taking advantage, absolutely, I mean, I think the little boy and his state of mind, being 12, 13, 14, how ever old he was, he probably wasn't in the right state of mind to even know if it's right or wrong, honestly."

Clevenger was one of the moms featured on TLC's "Cheer Perfection," a reality TV show about a team of young competitive cheerleaders at Cheer Time Revolution in Sherwood.

TLC released the following statement:

"TLC doesn’t have a comment; Regarding the series, the network made the decision a few months ago not to order more episodes, and we do not air the show in repeats."
