Police: Elderly Woman Dead, Man Says Rifle Discharged While Cleaning

Andrew Lamb, 35, told deputies and State Police Special Agents that he was cleaning a rifle, and it accidentally went off.
IMBODEN, AR -- Law enforcement is investigating the death of an 88-year-old woman after a man told them he accidentally discharged his rifle while cleaning it Monday night.

According to reports, law enforcement was called to the 400 block of Muddy Lane in Imboden around 7 p.m. where Lois Waddell Keller was found dead. Her body as well as other evidence collected at the scene has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for examination.

Andrew Lamb, 35, told deputies and State Police Special Agents that he was cleaning a rifle, and it accidentally went off.

The Randolph County Sheriffs Department requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police regarding the incident that happened Monday night, and the investigation is ongoing.
