Police: Drunken, Pregnant Woman Runs Over Trick-Or-Treaters

It was around 7 p.m. when a silver Toyota went barreling around the neighborhood.
HOT SPRINGS, AR -- Police say a pregnant woman drunkenly raced through the Quail Ridge neighborhood with two kids in the car, injuring multiple people on Halloween.

The driver, according to the Garland County Sheriff's Office, was 27-year-old Twila Watson.

On scene deputies say she had a blood alcohol content of .20, more than twice the legal limit.
Quail ridge is a gated community in Garland County, and witnesses say every year they open their gates to let hundreds of trick-or-treaters go door to door.

It was around 7 p.m. when the silver Toyota went barreling around the neighborhood.

Witnesses describe the horrific scene, saying the car reached high rates of speed and was striking anything that got in its way including numerous adults, who were just trying to stop the driver.

"I started yelling to everyone, 'Get out of the road, get out of the road, get out of the road!'" John Bird said.

Neighbors are starting a fund to help with the hospital bills of the victims.

Watson now faces four counts of second-degree battery and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Neighbors say there were four adults hit.

No mug shot for Watson exists because she has not been released from the hospital.

We also tried to get 911 recordings of this, but those won't be released until after the investigation is complete.
