MALVERN, AR -- Last week, Gov. Mike Beebe helped announce a local economic boost following a Hot Spring County based company's expansion.

This week, reporter Josh Berry gets a look inside the company that started with just six employees nearly two decades ago.

In an area thriving on the lumber industry off the side of Highway 270 in Hot Spring County, and inside the old Reynolds Factory is a nationwide company with native Arkansas roots holding strong to the place it calls home.

Brian Feeney is the CEO of Prime-Line Inc., a 17-year-old company started by his father that resides just outside of Malvern.

"Interior trim, crown molding, baseboard, casing," Feeney said.

Producing 160 truckloads a month, the company cranks out about 1.3 million lineal feet of primed product a week, which could total about 650 homes.

It's actually a household name in places like Lowe's.

"Arkansas is centrally located, so we can reach the majority of the United States," Feeney said.

Specifically, they reach from Denver out to Boston on the East Coast.

The raw materials are locally sourced from a company just down the road called MDF.

They tout the product as a green, 100 percent recycled, inexpensive way to trim your home.

But as big as business is these days, they're limited, running at max capacity and not able to take any more clients.

"We've been really stuck for a year in a half," Feeney said.

Which is why Prime-Line is creating 50 new jobs and investing more than $6.7 million in a new facility and manufacturing line.

But don't worry, they aren't moving too far, but actually closer to town.

"Arkansas' a great place to be," Feeney said.

Consider it expanding those roots and keeping their home only in Arkansas.

Prime-Line hopes to break ground on their new project in January and start operations by this time next year.
