Olson Family Concerned About Recent Fundraising Efforts

Murder victim's husband asks donations only be made to NLRPD.
This person still hasn't been caught. They're still on the loose.
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The family members of a North Little Rock murder victim have concerns over donations being raised on their behalf.

Samantha Olson's family reached out to KARK 4 News about recent fundraising efforts.

The past several weeks, Jason Benbrook has been taking collections at JFK and McCain

But members of Olson's family say they don't really know him and aren't sure all the money collected went into a memorial account.

North Little Rock police did confirm Benbrook made several deposits.

Regardless, Olson's husband says any donations should be made to the North Little Rock Police Department's reward fund.

"I feel at this point really the most important thing now is to catch the perpetrator," Eric Olson said. "This person still hasn't been caught. They're still on the loose."

The suspect was last seen driving a dark maroon Ford F-150 pickup truck.

Call police if you know anything about this crime.
