BRYANT, AR -- Police arrested three suspects early Thursday morning accused of breaking into cars and stealing guns.

According to the Bryant Police Department (BPD), an officer driving south on Highway 183 noticed a car turn onto Katrina Drive and turn its lights off.

The officer became suspicious and began to search the car, when he heard a car alarm being set on a Nissan Maxima parked in a nearby driveway and noticed three sets of footprints in the dew leading from the car to behind the house, BPD says.

Additional officers arrived to assist in searching for the occupants of the vehicle, and found two men who took off running. A short time later, the third suspect was found and apprehended.

BPD says two of the three suspects had loaded guns, and multiple firearms were found in the trunk of the car.

Investigators later discovered that the three subjects had broken into some cars just before officers made contact with them, and the guns and other merchandise that were found turned out to be stolen from these vehicles.

The three suspects were identified and charged as follows:
  • Mark Franklin - Breaking and Entering; Theft of Property; Fleeing on Foot
  • Mardarius Love - Breaking and Entering; Theft of Property; Fleeing on Foot
  • Coreyonte Milton - Breaking and Entering; Theft of Property; Fleeing on Foot; Possession of Firearm by Certain Person
