NLR Prepares for “Parrot Heads” Invasion on Dec. 7

Festivities planned all day leading up to the 8 p.m. Jimmy Buffett concert at Verizon Arena.
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) - The City of North Little Rock and the North Little Rock Visitors Bureau are preparing the North Shore River District for the anticipated invasion of “Parrot Heads” for the Dec. 7, 2013, Jimmy Buffett concert at Verizon Arena.

North Little Rock is expected to be the focal point of all-day festivities leading up to the 8 p.m. concert, including a free tailgate party with live entertainment off Riverfront Drive, adjacent to the I-30 Bridge south of the seawall from noon to 7 p.m.

Fans can park south of the sea wall for $20; however, it is free for walk-ins. Gates are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sites are available based on a first-come, first-served basis. No vehicles will be permitted south of the seawall after 3 p.m. General parking on city streets will be available all day.
