Morrilton Leaders Approve Cash for Head Start Repairs

The program has been operating out of a temporary space since mid-September after closing due to roofing problems.
MORRILTON, AR -- A Head Start center with roofing problems will soon have money for repairs.

Morrilton city leaders have authorized money for repairs at the Head Start center, which has been closed since the start of the school year due to roofing problems.

The program has been operating out of a temporary space since mid-September, after parents had to make other arrangements for their children when the building closed.

The building is also the former Sullivan High School, which was the only school for black students during segregation.
