BENTON, AR -- Officers originally responding to a noise complaint early Sunday morning ended up chasing down a home invasion suspect, while others were able to escape.

The Benton Police Department (BPD) says as officers were responding to the noise complaint at Fountain Lake Apartments on Congo Road, they were redirected to a possible disturbance at another unit in the complex.

While trying to contact the resident, officers heard the second-story window open and saw suspects fleeing from the building, according to BPD.

An assisting officer from the Saline County Sheriff's Office caught up with 23-year-old Ryan Walker, who was arrested and charged with aggravated residential burglary, aggravated robbery, theft of property, fleeing, false imprisonment and possession of a controlled substance.

BPD says the investigation is ongoing, and that detectives are working leads to apprehend the other suspects.

The number of additional suspects has not been provided by BPD.
