LR Youth Development Center Gets Weekend Makeover

Lowe's Home Improvement store donated the new paint and numerous local businesses donated food for the volunteers.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Children at the In His Image Youth Development Center are enjoying a bright new learning facility thanks to some hard work over the weekend.

Volunteers with the Chanel Civitan Club turned out to make over the children's nonprofit with freshly-painted walls and bright colors for a more relaxing learning environment.

Teachers at the center say they love the changes, which left some of the children a little confused.

"They think they have a new school, and I told them, 'No it's the same school," says teacher Brittnee Gibson, "But I love it and they love it. It's great."

Lowe's Home Improvement store donated the new paint and numerous local businesses donated food for the volunteers.

The school says they plan another makeover for the school next spring.
