LR Carjacking Suspect Could Be Jail Escapee

The victim was treated and released from the hospital.

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- A Little Rock woman tells police a man approached her as she was pumping gas as though he had a gun.  After a struggle, he got away with her car.

According to the police report, the car jacking happened at a gas station on the 1200 block of South University Drive in Little Rock.

The victim tells police the man asked her if she wanted to live and intended to take her vehicle by force.

The woman struggled with him.  She fell down during that struggle and hit her head on the concrete.

That's when she says the suspect got away with the car.  Deputies said one of the suspects is one of the inmates who escaped the Faulkner County jail Saturday.

Deputies arrested Joel Vermillion Jr. and Stacy Wilson Monday after a chase.

The woman went to the hospital after suffering from cuts to the back of her head and a fracture to her lower back.  She's been released from the hospital.
