Little Rock to Dallas: 40th Anniversary of First Flight to DFW Airport

Dallas/Fort Worth Airport is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The airport opened January 13, 1974 when American Airlines Flight 341 landed after a stop in Little Rock.
GRAPEVINE, TX - Dallas/Fort Worth Airport is celebrating its 40th anniversary today. The airport opened January 13, 1974 when American Airlines Flight 341 landed after a stop in Little Rock.

Four decades later, the airport services 1,800 daily flights carrying over 60 million passengers a year. Numerous flights from Little Rock and Fayetteville stop at DFW en route to other destinations.

Clinton National Airport has been around since 1931. American Airlines, which was American Airways at that time, has flown out of Little Rock for more than 70 years.
