LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Central Arkansas Pride and PFLAG Little Rock are pleased to announce that there will soon be a pride parade in Little Rock again! The 2013 Little Rock Pride Parade will be held on Saturday, October 5th, at 2 pm in downtown Little Rock to coincide with LGBT History Month. The goal of this event is to raise awareness of diversity in the community, teach tolerance and acceptance, eliminate prejudice and bias both internally and externally, and honor our sexuality, our culture, our families, our accomplishments, our individuality, and our ongoing struggle for equal rights. All clubs, organizations, schools, churches and businesses are encouraged to participate in this event. Parade applications are available now on www.centralarkansaspride.com and the entry fee is $25. Line-up will begin at 1:00 pm. The next planning meeting will take place on Monday, August 26th, at 7:30 pm. Further details, including the parade route, will be released very soon.
