Judge Sets Date for State, Federal Suit Against ExxonMobil

Trial will aim to resolve claims of how Exxon handled and stored waste for too long at a site in Faulkner County.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- A judge has scheduled a new trial date for a joint lawsuit filed by the United States and the State of Arkansas against ExxonMobil.

The trial will aim to resolve claims of how Exxon handled and stored waste for too long at a site in Faulkner County after the Pegasus Pipeline ruptured, spilling oil into the Northwoods subdivision near Lake Conway, in Mayflower.

In late August, the judge scheduled a conference between the parties to occur before Halloween, and also proposed a trial date during the week of June 16, 2014.

After conferring today, the trial is now scheduled to commence Feb. 24, 2015 in Little Rock, with a pretrial conference set for the previous day.
