Jacksonville Police Release Video of School Bus Hijacking

The hijacking took place on October 17. The eleven elementary students and bus driver on board were not injured.

JACKSONVILLE, AR -- Jacksonville police release 911 calls and dash cam video of that school bus hijacking from October.

On October 17, eleven elementary students and their bus driver were hijacked on the way to Pinewood Elementary School.

Investigators said Nicholas Miller jumped onto the school bus while carrying a knife.  They said he drove the bus nine miles from Jacksonville to Cabot -- before he was stopped by a group of police officers.

The students and bus driver got out safely.

Detectives arrested Miller.

He's been charged with 12 counts of kidnapping, among other charges.

The family of Nicholas Miller said he battled a drug addiction.  They tried to seek mental help for him, but to no avail.
