Investigation into Shooting Death of 3-Year-Old Boy Continues

Officials confirm the investigation is ongoing, and once it is completed will be forwarded to the Green County Prosecutor's Office for review.
GREENE COUNTY, AR -- The Greene County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) is continuing to investigate the death of a 3-year-old boy as accidental, according to reports.

Logan Carter died on Saturday after being accidentally shot by his father, Michael Carter, according to GCSO.

Michael Carter was holding the .45 caliber handgun when it discharged and struck Logan in the right temple.

Logan was taken to the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center where he died of his injuries. His body has been transported to Little Rock, where an autopsy will be performed.
