Investigation At LR Wastewater Facility, Leaders Placed On Leave

A city committee is now preparing to ask for an independent audit.
LITTLE ROCK, AR-- An investigation is underway surrounding the Little Rock Wastewater facility.

The city's sanitation sewer committee has placed CEO Reggie Corbitt and Manager Stan Miller on paid leave, after recieving information about possible mismanagement of the office.

Tuesday, the committee's chairperson, Ken Griffey, appointed a member to lead the investigation surrounding the matter.

That person, Jean Block, says she is now preparing a plan to hire an independent auditor to review the issue. Block also confirms a separate criminal investigation is underway by the Little Rock Police Department.

The committee is expected to meet next Wednesday in a regular meeting.
