FAYETTEVILLE, AR -- A man facing manslaughter charges after two University of Arkansas students were killed in a boat crash will wait an extra month for his next hearing.

John Deselms is accused of wrecking his boat in May, resulting death for two of his friends and injuries for five others.

This week, Deselms' attorney requested additional time for his client's next hearing, which is now scheduled for Dec. 13.

Deselms now faces two counts of first-degree manslaughter, with each charge carrying a sentence of 4 years to life in prison.
