Greers Ferry Students Return to Class after Pertussis Outbreak

The West Side School District was closed for one week after 5 confirmed cases of whooping cough.
GREERS FERRY, AR -- A school reopened Tuesday after closing for several days because of a whooping cough outbreak.

West Side School District in Cleburne County closed for one week after the Baptist Family Health Clinic confirmed five cases of whooping cough.

Also called pertussis, whooping cough can be fatal if passed to an infant.
