Five Arrested in Cleburne County Home Invasion

The victim, an 89-year-old woman, was woken up at gunpoint Sunday morning.
CLEBURNE COUNTY, AR - Three 19-year-old men and two boys have been arrested in a home invasion during which an 89-year-old woman was woken up in her bed at gunpoint.

It happened shortly after 2:00 on Sunday morning in southern Cleburne County.

Deputies were called to the Jones Road home of Annie Brooks, who said she had been threatened with a handgun and tied up during the incident.

Brooks said she could hear what she believed to be more individuals in her house other than those who had tied her up.

The five suspects have been arrested and nearly all the property reported stolen has been recovered.

The 19-year-old suspects are identified as Tanner Adcock and Zackery Smith, both of Heber Springs and Bobby Lee Pointer, of Bald Knob.

All five suspects have been charged with Aggravated Residential Burglary, Kidnapping, and two counts of Felony Theft of Property.

Adcock, Smith, and Pointer are being held at the Cleburne County Jail and the juveniles, who are being charged as adults, are being held in the White River Juvenile Detention Center in Batesville.

Bond will be set at $200,000 each.
