Fayetteville Teacher in the Running for 'Grammy Gig of a Lifetime'

A high school debate coach is in the running to perform at the GRAMMY Awards.
FAYETTEVILLE, AR (KNWA) -- A high school debate coach is in the running to perform at the GRAMMY Awards.

Barrett Baber is one of 40 finalists from around the country vying for a spot on at the GRAMMY Gig of a Lifetime Concert. If he wins, the Fayetteville High School Debate and Forensics teacher will perform live and open for The Neighbourhood.

The 40 finalists were selected by a team of judges and now the winner will be determined by viewer votes. As of Friday afternoon, Baber was trending in first place on the voting website.
