Deputies: 11-Year-Old Threatens Boy with Knife at School

The Lake Hamilton Intermediate School student faces four days suspension.
HOT SPRINGS, AR -- An 11-year-old student in Garland County was cited and suspended for allegedly bringing a knife to school and threatening to use it on another student.

It happened at the Lake Hamilton Intermediate School for fourth and fifth graders last week, according to the Garland County Sheriff's Department.

Our content partner, Hot Springs Daily, retrieved a report from the school principal saying the victim's father complained a student harassed and bullied his son to the point he was afraid for his life.

The student faces four days suspension.

Garland County Sheriff's deputies cited him with terroristic threatening.

Robert Hall, a parent, said he was concerned about the incident.

"If he was threatening a child at school, that's scary. After all the shootings around the country that's real scary," Hall said.

He was especially upset because he feels like the school was trying to hide the incident.

"(My daughter) said she was not allowed to say anything," Hall said. "The school told her not to."
