Update: Missing Missouri Teenager Found Safe in North Arkansas

Dylan Saltkill, 17, was found Monday night in Mountain Home.

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR - Police have cancelled an Endangered Person Advisory for a boy who was reported missing on Sunday.

Dylan Saltkill, 17, was found safe late Monday in Mountain Home, Arkansas, according to a release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Officials say the teen was swimming at Norfork Lake when he was seen by boaters who then called the Baxter County Sheriff's Office.

Saltkill had left his home in West Plains, Missouri in his caretaker’s vehicle, which police say he later crashed.

WEST PLAINS, MO (KOLR) - The West Plains Police Department has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a missing teenager who disappeared from his home Sunday.

Dylan Blake Saltkill, 17, left his home in the 1400 block of West 6th St. in West Plains around noon on July 20.

Police say Dylan (see attached photo) is 5’4" tall and weighs about 175 pounds.

Officers say Saltkill ran away and took his caretaker’s vehicle, which was located by law enforcement after it was involved in a traffic crash. 

Saltkill was not in the vehicle and is believed to be on foot and injured in the Ozark County area. 

He was last seen at Highway 201 and J Highway near Howard’s Ridge in Ozark County, wearing a blue 2001 NASCAR shirt, blue jean shorts and white tennis shoes.

Witnesses say he made a statement that he was enroute to unknown location in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Police say Saltkill has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old.

Anyone seeing the missing person or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the West Plains Police Department at (417) 256-2244.
