University of the Ozarks Athlete Makes "Good Works" Team

Basketball guard Andrew Cummings recognized by Allstate and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (News release) - An athlete who plays for the University of the Ozarks (Clarksville) has been announced as a nominee for the 2014 Allstate NABC Good Works Team®.

The honor goes to guard Andrew Cummings.

For the second year, Allstate and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) are recognizing a select group of men’s college basketball student-athletes who stand out for their charitable achievements and community involvement. The players nominated for this prestigious honor are committed to enriching the lives of others while contributing to the greater good of their communities.  

Cummings boasts an impressive resume of community service accomplishments, which include:
  • Conducting Bible study sessions and prayer groups on campus
  • Traveling to Europe to participate in camps and testimony meetings 
  • Volunteering with the Special Olympics 
From this year’s list of 117 nominees, a final roster of 10 award recipients - comprised of five players from the Division I level and five players from Divisions II, III and the NAIA - will be announced in February.
