Taekwondo Convention Boosts Business in Downtown Little Rock

Thousands of people come to the capital city for the annual event.

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The American Taekwondo Association convention attracted martial artists from around the world this weekend.

Nearly 20,000 people attended the 24th Annual World Expo which kicked off earlier this week at the Statehouse Convention Center.

Competitors from ages 3 to 80 demonstrated their skills.

Visitor Kimberly Mobley says it's a great way to take in all that Little Rock has to offer.

"It's just a wonderful town and we understand that when you have an event like this, everybody benefits, the locals," Mobley says.

Establishments in downtown Little Rock say business was booming.

Admission to the event was $10 for the entire convention.
