Susanne Brunner joined the news team in June 2013.

Susanne comes to Arkansas from the Golden State where she anchored and reported along California's Central Coast. While she was with the CBS and FOX affiliates in Monterey, she covered a number of big stories that gained national attention. She was the first reporter on scene when a chunk of Highway 1 fell into the ocean near Big Sur. She also covered a massive rock slide that trapped dozens of families, and reported on the largest methamphetamine seizure in U.S. history. Susanne's memorable moment on the anchor desk was delivering LIVE breaking news coverage of the death of Osama bin Laden.

Before coming to the Central Coast, Susanne was the Weekend Anchor and Reporter in Tri-Cities, Washington. One assignment sent her flying in a World War II bomber plane! She was honored to document a ride of a lifetime.

Susanne is a proud graduate of San Francisco State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio and Television with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. During school, she anchored and reported for a cable news program. She was awarded Best News Story for her coverage of the Olympic Torch Relay, which made its only U.S. appearance in San Francisco in 2008. Susanne also interviewed Craigslist founder Craig Newmark about his website's impact on communities across the globe. She first stepped foot in a newsroom at CBS 13 in Sacramento, where she interned with her favorite reporters and even got the opportunity to interview hopeful models at a casting call for "America's Next Top Model."

Susanne comes from a big family (she's half Filipino and Austrian) and is a proud military brat. Her father and older brother served in the U.S. Air Force, so she's moved plenty of times throughout California and even spent some time living in the Philippines. However, she calls Placerville or what most people know as "Old Hangtown" home.

When Susanne isn't anchoring on the desk or reporting in the field, you can find her on the basketball court coaching kids, dancing, traveling, catching a good movie or book, and learning a new tune on her keyboard. She enjoys getting a good work out in too and hopes to run her first half marathon here in Little Rock. Susanne is thrilled to be working in the Natural State and is excited to explore all it has to offer.
