Students Celebrate Academy Success

A group of students attend summer academy and receive recognition for their accomplishments.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Pulaski County Special School District students were celebrating their big accomplishments today.

The Summer Bridge Academy offered three weeks of intensive learning.

Students attend the Academy free of charge at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Today, they got some much-deserved recognition for all their achievements.

Instructor Amber Smith said, "At the end of every week they have to turn in a packet, which is basically a collecting of materials they had to complete before the week was out and then they are awarded accordingly."

Representatives of the Pulaski County Special School District, including Superintendent Jerry Guess and Attorney John Walker, attended the closing celebrations.
