Searcy Pizza Biz Gets Bomb Threat After Offering Church Discount

A Searcy business owner says it is "unsettling" to receive threats via social media after he offered a discount to customers who go to church.
SEARCY, AR - A Searcy business owner says it is "unsettling" to receive threats via social media after he offered a discount to customers who go to church.

Steven Rose is owner of Bailey's Pizza that opened on Race Street in July.

Searcy Police filed a report over the weekend based off threatening comments left on the Facebook page for the pizza shop.

The comments included: "better get the bomb squad out" and "stand fast and get blow up quicker."

Rose says the comments surfaced after his fledgeling business received national attention for offering a 10% discount to customers who bring in a church flyer on Sundays.

"It's upsetting and it's clear that they've got the wrong impression," Rose says. If anybody thinks we're excluding anyone or somehow choosing one group over another or want someone here more than someone else, all are loved and all are welcome just like our sign says."
