Pine Bluff Residents Won't Get Chance to Vote on Club Ordinance

That means clubs can continue to serve alcohol until 5 a.m. and close at 5:30.
PINE BLUFF, AR -- On Tuesday, Pine Bluff City Council members voted down a measure that would have given voters the chance to decide if they wanted nightclubs in the city to close earlier.

That means clubs can continue to serve alcohol until 5 a.m. and close at 5:30.

If passed, that proposal would have required clubs to stop serving alcohol at 3 a.m.

Some council members believed fear closing clubs earlier would cost the city money, especially during big events like homecoming celebrations for UAPB.
