Path of April 27 Tornado Detailed on Interactive Map

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The National Weather Service (NWS) is giving Arkansans a very specific look at the April 27 tornado outbreak.

The NWS has built a special map (click here to see) showing the monster killer storm's 41.3-mile track.

The tornado first touched down in western Pulaski County and ended just past El Paso in White County. 

When it was all over, 15 had died and dozens more were injured.

The NWS storm reports below tell part of the story of the two hours of tornado terror:
  • 725 PM - ROLAND, PULASKI COUNTY. TORNADO IS REPORTED ON THE GROUND...AND CONFIRMED BY STATE POLICE.
  • 734 PM - 1 MILE SOUTHEAST OF MAYFLOWER, FAULKNER COUNTY. TORNADO HAS CROSSED INTERSTATE 40 AT MILE MARKER 140. SPOTTER ESTIMATED HALF A MILE WIDE.
  • 739 PM - SALTILLO, FAULKNER COUNTY. SEVERAL HOUSES DAMAGED IN SALTILLO.
  • 742 PM - 2 MILES EAST OF MAYFLOWER, FAULKNER COUNTY. ARKANSAS GAME & FISH HEADQUARTERS HEAVILY DAMAGED.
  • 750 PM - VILONIA, FAULKNER COUNTY. TWO HOUSES ON CEMETARY ROAD HAVE BEEN WIPED CLEAN TO THE FOUNDATION.
  • 750 PM - VILONIA, FAULKNER COUNTY. NUMEROUS HOUSES, FAST FOOD RESTAURANT DAMAGED. NUMEROUS TREES DOWN.
  • 801 PM - 1 MILE NORTH OF EL PASO, WHITE COUNTY. STORM SPOTTERS CONFIRMED TORNADO AT HWY. 64 & HWY. 5.
  • 820 PM - 6 MILES WEST OF SEARCY. HOUSE DAMAGED ON BLOODWORTH RD. POWER LINE DOWN ON TANNER RD. NUMEROUS TREES UPROOTED.
  • 835 PM - STEPROCK, WHITE COUNTY. TIN ON THE GROUND AND POWER LINES DOWN.
  • 850 PM - PLEASANT PLAINS. INDEPENDENCE COUNTY. REPORT OF A TORNADO JUST SOUTHEAST OF TOWN.
  • 850 PM - DENMARK, WHITE COUNTY. STATE POLICE REPORTING TORNADO.
  • 905 PM - 3 MILES EAST OF OIL TROUGH, INDEPENDENCE COUNTY. POWER LINES DOWNED.
  • 905 PM - MACKS, JACKSON COUNTY. TORNADO REPORTED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT.
  • 910 PM - JACKSONPORT, JACKSON COUNTY. LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTS TORNADO.
  • 924 PM - 3 MILES WEST OF CAMPBELL STATION, JACKSON COUNTY. THREE DEPUTIES REPORT TORNADO ON HIGHWAY 17.
