Only in Arkansas: Stone's Throw Brewing

Taking on a new business venture can be tough in any market but one new central Arkansas business may prove the ingredients of blood, sweat and beer could get them within a "Stone's Throw" away from the success they seek.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - "The craft beer movement in Arkansas is growing very quickly," said Ian Beard.

Beard makes up just a quarter of the team that created one of Little Rock's newest small businesses.

He said, "This will be the first new brewery that will be distributing to bars and restaurants -- first new tap room in central Arkansas for a while."

Found in what used to be a dusty building in Little Rock's Macarthur Park historic district, Stone's Throw Brewing is Arkansas' newest nano-brewery.

Beard added, "We'll be serving the beer we brew right here at Stone's Throw Brewery as well as guest taps from other brewery's in the state and the region."

They tout their tap room as just a "stone's throw" away from Little Rock's vibrant downtown neighborhood.

Stop by on the corner of Ninth and Rock to find brews they say pair well with great food and good company.

Beard said, "Hopefully it will just be another step in making Arkansas better known for its beers, for it's other local products and for being a place that enjoys life and enjoys a drink."

Stone's Throw Brewery officially opened Thursday (8/1). For hours and contact info, click here.
