Money Matters: LRCENT Meeting

The commission held their first meeting of the year today.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A group in Little Rock is keeping track of your tax dollars to make sure the money goes where it's intended. The Little Rock citizens evaluation of the new tax committee held its first meeting of the year today where they discussed plans for the city sales tax money.

"A lot of the community has put their own input into each and every project that goes forward. So we tackle each project as funds become available so we don't get into a situation where we made a promise to do something and it doesn't get completed," says Co-chair of the LR Cent Committee Kinney O'Connor.

The committee oversees the city's sales tax and capital sales tax making sure the money is used in accordance with the Sales Tax Resolution that was adopted in 2011.
