Monday Night Murder Suspect Turns Self In

A man died in a shooting Monday night and police released the name and photo of the suspect they're looking for in the killing. The suspect turned himself in Tuesday night.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A man died in a shooting Monday night and police released the name and photo of the suspect they're looking for in the killing. 

The suspect, Darrell Lamont Freeman, Jr., 21 is now in custody. He turned himself in around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night. 

He will be charged with murder in the first degree.

The shooting happened around 7:30 at 1701 N. Bryant Street, just off Cantrell Road on the city's west side.

When police arrived, they found Bernard Sherrod, 20, suffering from a gunshot wound. 

He died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
