Mike Ross Unveils Plan for AR Education, Economy

The candidate revealed his positive vision for the future of the state in Fayetteville on Thursday.
FAYETTEVILLE, AR - A Democratic gubernatorial candidate is unveiling his plan for Arkansas' education and economy.

Former congressman Mike Ross spoke today in Fayetteville about his positive vision for the future of the state.

Ross says it starts with improving education and job creation, something he says goes hand in hand.

"We need to do a better job of getting our young people either career ready, or college ready. We need to be investing more in science, technology, engineering and math. 12 million are out of work in America and there are 3 million jobs open in science and math," says Ross.

Ross is the only Democrat running for governor.

65 of Arkansas's 75 county sheriff's are backing Ross based on his past work on law enforcement issues.
