Mark Pryor Meets With Manufacturing Leaders

Pryor says wants to hear from those in the local manufacturing industry about obstacles and issues they believe need to change in Washington.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Senator Mark Pryor meeting with leaders in Arkansas' Manufacturing Industry at a Summit Roundtable in Little Rock today.

According to Pryor, he wants to hear from those in the local manufacturing industry about obstacles and issues they believe need to change in Washington to offer more middle class jobs and industry growth here in Arkansas and America at large.

"This is not just election year politics for me this is really about getting the policy right, getting it to function again and getting Washington to do the things we need to do to set the table for growth here," said Pryor.

Pryor running for re-election against Congressman Tom Cotton. According to the Center for Responsive Politics database, Cotton has received more than $70,000 in campaign contributions from the manufacturing industry, whereas the industry didn't make it to Pryor's top 20 contributors.

According to Pryor, manufacturing has always been important to him and Arkansas.
